Fall Update

Wow, it's been awhile since our last update!

Debaucherous Bath Facebook Updates

So just a quick update. Current TAT is at 7-10 business days due to the fall release. But we expect to be back to 5-7 business days this week. Please note, that this could always change and we will keep our shop announcements and facebook page up to date with the current TAT.

We cannot thank you enough for your patience! 

Also, Septembers Fragrance of the Month is Indian Summer. 

Our 2nd Fall release is September 18th. There will be a limited amount of stock on hand for the new items. We want to keep our TAT at a respective pace and to allow for our upcoming Christmas release as well. All fall items will remain in stock until Thanksgiving or until sold out, whichever comes first.

And lastly, our holiday schedule is as followed:

We will be closed the week of November 23rd in observance of Thanksgiving. Any orders received after the 20th will be processed upon our return Monday, November 30th.

We will also be closed beginning December 19th and return January 4th, 2016. 

Any orders received by the 19th will ship out, but are not guaranteed to arrive in time for Christmas. Anything received after will not be processed until we return in January. Both the website and etsy shop will remain open during these times. 

In order to receive items in time for Christmas, all orders but be placed by December 15th.

We thought you'd like to get an update in regards to the flat rate envelopes we'd been using. We have spoken with our local USPS and for the time being, we can still ship the usps boxes tucked inside the flat rate envelopes. There is no real clarification in regards to shipping in this manner and until USPS has a formal announcement stating otherwise, we are still shipping in this manner.

Please note that USPS international rates increased on May 31st. First class rates increased as well, more info below:

Info on the 2015 USPS Postage Rate Increase

The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) will implement new postage rates on May 31, 2015 for several mail classes and special services.

Summary of the 2015 Postage Rate Increase:

Domestic:

• First Class Mail Letters (1 oz.) will remain the same at $0.49 when purchased at the Post Office. Each additional ounce will cost $0.22 (up one cent from 2014).
• The discounted “Metered Mail” category for First Class Mail Letters (1 oz.), which includes online postage providers and postage meters, will increase from $0.48 to $0.485 in 2015.
• First Class Flats (1 oz.) will stay the same at $0.98 in 2015. Each additional ounce will cost $0.22 (up one cent from 2014).
• Postcard rates will increase by one cent to $0.35 from $0.34.
• Media Mail will see an increase of 6.2% in 2015. Rates will start at $2.72 (1 lb.), up $0.03 compared to 2014.
• Parcel Select (non-presort) will see an increase of 9.8% in 2015. Rates for a 1 lb. package will begin at $5.70.
• Parcel Select rates are decreasing for heavier packages. Packages weighing 6 lbs. to 24 lbs. that are being shipped to Zones 1 – 4 will see a decrease of up to $9.35 per package (15 lb., Zone 4) in 2015.
• First Class Package Service will see an increase of 5.1% in 2015. Commercial Base (online postage) rates will start at $2.04 (1 oz.), up $0.11 compared to 2014.
• Priority Mail rates are NOT INCREASING in 2015. Commercial Base (online postage) rates will continue to start at $5.05.
• Priority Mail Express rates are NOT INCREASING in 2015. Commercial Base (online postage) rates will continue to start at $13.09.
• USPS Tracking when purchased online will cost $0.36 in 2015, compared to $0.23 in 2014.

International:

• Postage for First Class Mail International Letters (1 oz.) and postcards will increase by five cents from $1.15 to $1.20.
• First Class Package International Service will see an increase of 7.2% in 2015. Commercial Base (online postage) rates will start at $6.39 (1 oz.), up $0.23 compared to 2014.
• Priority Mail International will see an increase of 5.5% in 2015. Commercial Base (online postage) rates (for all countries except Canada) will start at $32.63 (1 lb.), up $0.70 compared to 2014.
• For Priority Mail International packages being shipped to Canada, zoned prices based on origin ZIP Code have been introduced. Commercial Base (online postage) rates for a 1 lb. package will begin at $26.75.
• Priority Mail Express International will see an increase of 6.7% in 2015. Commercial Base (online postage) rates will start at $35.53 (0.5 lbs.), up $2.29 compared to 2014.

Long Time No Post

It's been awhile since we posted. Lori has been busy handling all the customer service and doing a great job at that, while updating facebook, instagram and working on our newsletters, that's a lot to handle!

A few updates. TAT has been going quite smoothly. 4-5 business days is the standard at this time. It looks like by Monday we'll be back to 2-3 business days, but this can change at any time.

The updated website is about ready and will launch in about 2 weeks. We are working on adding all the product over to the newer version. Accurate shipping quotes will be available then as well.

Fragrance of the month will be announced shortly.

New products and scents are coming soon. A date is tentative at this time.

New Scents, Products and More

We are still working on the issues with etsy and hope to have a resolution this week. In the meantime, you can still order from the website. If there is something you are looking for not listed on our website, email us.

At the moment, our website is not relfecting first class rates and we are working on getting that corrected. 

Our current TAT is an exciting 2-3 business days! Woohoo!

We are expecting our new look to launch sometime next week. We're so excited, shipping will be upgraded and live, accurate shipping quotes will be available. We have also offered another shipping option, FedEx! 

We have new, very limited edition scents coming this month, exclusively in perfume. A few are all natural with beeswax absolute, coconut pulp CO2, Bulgarian Rose and more. These will be very rare and very limited to stock on hand. We also will be releasing a new mens line, and just in time for Fathers day. More details in this weeks newsletter. Debaucherous Bath Newsletter

Summer is almost here, which means our summer scents will be making their appearance this week on the website. These are from our past collections, a Debaucherous Summer and our Aloha Ipo collection. New summer scents will be making their debut later this month, which includes a Tudor collection as well as many others.

We also have new products debuting later this month as well. More details in this months newsletter.

We will be closed for the Memorial weekend, beginning Friday May 22nd. We will return Tuesday May 26th. The website will remain open during this time.

UPDATE with USPS

We have been able to continue to ship the remainder of the flat rate packages for the time being. But all orders from here on out will not be shipped with the flat rate envelopes.

In the meantime, we are excited to say we have set up a temporary feature for shipping on our website. This is available until we update our website next month with it's updated look and features. We hope this makes shopping easier for you. 

Please note, at this time it does not reflect the Regional A and B boxes as well as medium and large flat rates. But shipping is pretty close with those priority mail rates and this should help quite a bit compared to the system we used previously. As always, any overages will be refunded if needed. Again, this is a temporary fix until the update is fully completed on May 8th.

USPS Flat Rate Envelopes-UPDATED

We feel like screaming at the top of our lungs. We came back from a run to our local post office this morning only to find out, that all packages that are in the flat rate envelopes have been rejected and are no longer being accepted as of 4 weeks ago and are either to be rejected or returned to the sender unless they are completely flat.

We checked our po box to see if any came back and sure enough, there were quite a few. All packages that went out last week are going to be reshipped in the correct boxes and everyone will be receiving new tracking numbers as e receive them back. We apologize for the HUGE inconvenience this has caused everyone and ask that you please be patient while we do this. 

This should not take us too long to repackage the orders, but may take a few days for your packages to be returned to us if it hasn't already. We will also be sending out a mass email informing everyone of this.


We cannot tell you how many times we have received items like this and have shipped without issue, as far as we knew it was not a problem. We were never told we couldn't after all this time we have been shipping in this manner.

We feel this may be the reason we have had such a huge problem with USPS and the delay on shipping that reflects on us as a business.

This also means we can no longer ship for a flat rate up to 6 jars to our international customers.

Per usps.com:

Note: Flat Rate prices are available when material is sent in a USPS-produced Flat Rate Envelope or Box. When sealing a Flat Rate Box or Flat Rate Envelope, the container flaps must be able to close within the normal folds. Tape may be applied to the flaps and seams to reinforce the container; provided the design of the container is not enlarged by opening the sides and the container is not reconstructed in any way.  

Other than this bit of information, we could not find anything else in regards to exact thickness of the flat rate envelopes in the domestic mail manual regarding flat rate eligibility. There is clearly no rule with regards to thickness. If anyone has any other information, please feel free to email us. Rest assured, we will continue to look into this. We have been finding conflicting information all over the internet about some post offices not accepting while others do. We will also be putting in a call to USPS on Monday as again, as far as we know there are no restrictions on this type of shipping.

And if it is deemed that these packages are acceptable, we will be opening a consumer affairs case against the postmaster.

Anyhow, because of this, we acted quickly and are currently in the process of switching our website over to another hosting company that offers real time shipping quotes.

Our designer has told us to expect to go live with this new "look" and shipping feature by May 8th. 

In the meantime, as always, we always refund shipping overages. Also, international customers, we will invoice you for correct shipping charges BEFORE your order ships.

We are so excited to announce we have completed nearly 100 orders from both the shop and etsy that was placed while we were on vacation/hiatus!  Yay!!!

Now our current turn around time is at 2-3 business days. This weekend I will be updating all inventory and adding more items to the website. Still working on the etsy issue and should have it resolved soon.

We are back!

We are back from our 4 week vacation!  The shop and website will be updated this evening. All orders placed during the vacation will be processed and shipped as quickly as possible.

Lori will be working on convos and emails by this evening.

Current Update

We are working on the last of the etsy orders and will have all out by Wednesday. So exciting! There is nothing like that sense of relief and peace of mind. :-)

If your tracking has not updated from Fridays shipments, please be patient. Usps does not always updatd tracking and it seems to be a well known issue within the etsy community forums. We are keeping an eye o them as always. ;-)

Quick Update

Just a quick update, we are working rather quickly over here and should have all orders out no later than Monday. As always, depending upon the volume of orders by the weekend for our vacation, the TAT can change, but again, we are working on a good flow here and would expect no later than Wednesday, worse case scenario.

We are also working on convos and emails. It seems many emails from the website were not coming through and we are trying to work on that.
