Samples are delayed. I hate to say this but my printer was giving me nothing but grief last week. One of my toners was out and it turns out that none of the supply stores carries it any longer. My husband, the good man that he is, thought he was doing me a favor and picked one up for me but it was not the correct one and unfortunately was un-returnable since he opened it insisting it was the right one. I do love that man for trying.
So one was ordered and overnighted and I was finally able to get back to processing orders on Friday.
Today and tomorrow I will be adding the sample size bubbling scrubs and whipped soaps on etsy. I am caught up with orders for now. Everything from the weekend is going out today.
And in regards to a new product I have coming out after vacation, well, I am working on a name for it. I had a name idea, but...I'm just not sure about it. It's a moisturizer used in the bath or shower and must not contain the words bath, shower or gravy (yes my dear friend offered that one). I'm looking for a unique name, something dark and unusual, email me your idea at debaucherousbath [@]! gmail dot com and if I choose your idea, I will send you a free jar, with your choice of scent, from a selection of scents I will be offering it in.
Deadline is this Friday September 30th.

Sample sizes coming and Winter launch date
You asked and you are getting, sample sized whipped soaps and bubbling scrubs are being added today with the remainder of the perfumes, lotions and sugar scrubs by next week. I didn't realize how time consuming it could be to add items to etsy, but it is.
I'll be working on getting sugar scrub samples on etsy next week too.
Also, as always, turn around time is 1-3 business days and on many days I ship same day! All items are made fresh, all scrubs, perfumes and whipped soaps are made weekly and sometimes daily. Handmade bar soaps are made monthly to allow curing time.
I have set a date for the debut of the first half of my winter line, which is the German theme. I can't wait! I also can't wait until the 2nd half either! The 1st set will be launching on Wednesday October 26th. I have not set a date for the 2nd Winter set, but it wouldn't be long after that since I am the anxious type.

Etsy Update
Most new items are on etsy. The only things I still need to add are lotions, sugar scrubs and the 5ml perfumes. But for the most part all new scents from the remainder of the fall line are up. It's taking me quite a bit of time, but I'm getting there. If you want lotion, sugar scrub or perfume and I don't have them listed on etsy yet, convo me and I'll set up a custom listing for you.
I won't be adding them to the website since I'm working on transferring everything over to Debaucherous, so for the time being you will find everything on etsy.
Thank you for your patience!

Vacation Clarification
There's a bit of confusion about my vacation notice.
Now, I will also be closed beginning October 7th, 2011. All orders placed until Tuesday October 4th will be shipped out prior to closure. All orders made after the 4th will be processed upon our return Monday October 17th.
This gives only a brief time for orders once I reopen from my initial closure. It also doesn't give much time for orders for the remainder of my Fall line that's debuting this Wednesday/Thursday.
The good news is that I will be working like a mad woman getting all orders out as quickly as possible before I leave out of town. Not only that, but I will be working like an insanely mad woman to get all orders out before I leave the country.
And when I return I will be getting ready to debut the first half of the Christmas/Winter line.
Oh and before I forget, I was asked today how long was the Halloween and Fall line going to be offered until, Halloween until October 31st, naturally (or inventory is depleted) and the Fall line until November 21st or until inventory is depleted, whichever comes first.
And finally, the new etsy shop will be open beginning November 1st. The old etsy shop will remain, but not to purchase. A notice will be up in the announcements section with a link to the new etsy shop. Same goes for the new website, www.debaucherousbath,com, it will be ready around November 1st as well. It takes quite some time to move all images, products, etc over. And with me leaving out of the country I'm hoping to get it all over quickly and smoothly. I'm working on getting as much done as quickly as I can before I leave.
Well, other than that, I hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend!
Cheers!

New items coming!
New scents are coming next Wednesday, September 21st to both the site and etsy.
Also sometime next month a new product will be making it's debut. We're so excited about it too. It's perfect for the cold dry weather that is quickly approaching many of us.
Also, by Monday, we will be back to our 1-2 business day turn around. We were all caught up there for a couple days but we have found ourselves back to 2-3 business days yet again.

The fun never ends & Updates
The fun just never ends. I have been busy getting orders out. I am currently back to a 1-2 business day turn around time. This past weekend was a busy one working on orders. All orders received up until yesterday, Monday Sept. 12th have been shipped.
I also have the remainder of my fall and Halloween line up debuting next week.
I'm working on getting the soaps up. It's taking me a little bit longer than planned since I am working on keeping up with orders. But by the end of the week all will be up and available for sure!
I will be closed on September 30th, but will reopen on Monday October 3rd. I have to leave out of town for a few days but will process all orders when I return. The etsy shop and site will remain open. All orders received by Thursday September 29th, 12pm Pacific standard time will go out that same day. Anything after that will go out beginning on Monday October 3rd.
It also looks like the transition will be taking place just after the 1st as well. New etsy shop and new website under Debaucherous Bath. I'm so excited!
The winter and Christmas line will be debuting in October as well. I will be debuting them in 2 parts. The German inspired line will be debuting first. And then around either the end of October or the beginning of November I'll debut the 2nd line.

Winter Line Up
The winter line will be making it's debut very soon.
This years Winter line was inspired by my uncle who is from Germany. He came here as a child during WWII with his parents. He always has wonderful stories to share so this year I've dedicated my Winter line to him.
Winter:
Glühwein
Lebkuchen
Sankt Nikolaus
Sankt Nikolaus, was probably born around A.D. 245 in the port city of Patara in what we now call Turkey. Very little solid historical evidence exists for the man who later became the Bishop of Myra and the patron saint of children, sailors, students, teachers, and merchants. He is credited with several miracles and his feast day is Dec. 6, which is the main reason he is connected with Christmas. In parts of Germany Sankt Nikolaus brings his gifts for children on Nikolaustag, Dec. 6, not Dec. 25 like here in the United States.
Stollen
There are a few others that are not German themed such as Thanksgiving 1893 as well as a few traditional scents.

Winter:
Glühwein
A traditional German beverage drunk during the Christmas holiday. Usually prepared from red wine and heated with spices such as cinnamon sticks and clove and sweetened with sugar.
In my family, there is another version made usually for the children with cranberry juice and apple cider. Once the kids have had theirs, then the adults pour in the red wine to have what they consider real Glühwein.
Tart cranberries crushed with a medley of seasonal apples, cheap red wine, smoke billows of sweet hay, old rum, spices of clove, cardamon, nutmeg and cinnamon.

Lebkuchen can be traced back to the early days of the European spice trade when sugar was an expensive luxury and honey was the common sweetener.
Germany is the one country the with the longest and strongest tradition of baking the flat, shaped Lebkuchen that we know as Gingerbread.
Honey, hazelnuts and walnuts, candied orange and lemon peel, marzipan, spices of cardamom, cinnamon and ginger.
Sankt Nikolaus
Snowflakes landing on Douglas fir trees, vetiver, spearmint with a hint of hot cocoa and freshly baked butter cookies.
Glücksschwein
In Germany it is common to give marzipan in the shape of a pig as the new year presents, known as a "Glücksschwein", which means lucky pig.
Almond, sugar and a hint of rosewater.
Stollen
Stollen is a loaf shaped cake made with flour, yeast and water with added dried fruit, candied fruit and nuts and sprinkled with powdered sugar. Here in the U.S., it is known as fruitcake.
A sweet cake bread with candied fruits of cranberries, raisins, orange zest and walnuts soaked in 50 year old rum.
There are a few others that are not German themed such as Thanksgiving 1893 as well as a few traditional scents.

Site Update Again
Well, there is a problem with the hosting company, they are not responding to tickets, emails or phone calls so I will be transferring www.debaucherousbath.com to a completely different hosting company.
What does this mean for you? Nothing really, this is just my way of keeping you updated on what's going on. Hopefully by the end of next week or the beginning of the week of the 19th our new site will be officially up and running.
What does that mean for the existing site? It will be gone. I was going to have it referring over to the new site, but we will see. With the existing hosting company having problems I'm not sure now that will work out.
In the meantime, I am getting ready to post the Winter line up on the blog for a sneak peek!

Site Update
Just a quick note that we are still working on transitioning over to the new name of Debaucherous. We're hoping to have the final transition over to the new name and new domain name in the next couple of weeks as well as the blog. The etsy shop will be changed over to a new etsy shop of DebaucherousBath at the same time.
Labels are taking a bit longer and we hope to have that taken care of by the end of the month. All in all it's coming along a lot smoother and quicker than I thought it would.
Thank you for your patience!

Updates
Just a quick note to let everyone know TAT is currently 3-4 business days. Monday is also a holiday so instead of shipping out orders on Monday as the post office will be closed, they will be going out on Tuesday. We hope to have our TAT back to 1-3 business days by next week.
Also, our website is still spotty and this may be due to the transferring of everything over to the new domain. I'll be contacting the host today to find out what's going on.
Our blog page will also be moving sometime in the next couple of weeks. I will post here when everything has been finalized with the new link.
And due to the transfer, no new photos will be going up on the existing site. So all the Fall soaps, lotions, lip balms, perfumes and sugar scrubs that are still to be uploaded will have to wait until the transfer. We're looking at having the new site up by the end of next week if everything goes smoothly. But I do hope to have all products up on etsy by next week.
I received a few emails asking about facebook and twitter. I am not on those, I just post updates here. I don't have the time to tweet or post on fb, it keeps things simple for you and I by having one place to post all my updates to. Plus it keeps my TAT down. Gives me more time to make and process your order! :-)

September Sneak Peek
It is officially September, that means the count down is on. September 23rd is the first day of Fall and that means the weather will soon be cooling down, leaves will change color and begin to fall from the trees with warm moments of cozying up with your loved ones and enjoying a nice hot cup of cider.
This is my utmost favorite time of year! I love everything fall, pumpkins, apples and even more excitingly I love Halloween! I absolutely adore anything Halloween related.
Which leads me to our new scents that are coming out this month once again. New fall scents as well as winter scents will be debuting this month.
A little sneak peek at what is coming:
Thanksgiving 1893
What Lizzie Borden is thankful for this Thanksgiving.
I'm thankful I am a free woman at last.
I'm thankful Emma knows how to keep quiet.
I'm thankful for my new home, Maplecroft.
I'm thankful I finally have indoor plumbing.
A glowing warmth of the seasons last offerings, birch logs, dried maple leaves, fresh apple walnut cobbler, roasted chestnuts, butternut squash pie.
Lebkuchen
Lebkuchen can be traced back to the early days of the European spice trade when sugar was an expensive luxury and honey was the common sweetener.
Germany is the one country the with the longest and strongest tradition of baking the flat, shaped Lebkuchen that we know as Gingerbread.
Honey, hazelnuts and walnuts, candied orange and lemon peel, marzipan, spices of cardamom, cinnamon and ginger.
These are just a couple descriptions of the new Fall and Winter line.
Also shipping is currently as followed:
$5.95 for the first item and $1 for each additional item added. Should your order fit into a smaller USPS PM box then the standard PM box, or can be mailed via First Class and the shipping difference is greater than $1.00, we will refund you the difference.
And one last note, the site has been a bit spotty today and I believe that is because of the transition over to the new domain. If for any reason you are unable to view the site, please be patient because it will be back up and you can always find us at etsy as well.
Have a fantastic day!
