With the holidays just ending, mail slowing down during this time, a few packages were lost; U.S. and international. U.S. packages are provided with delivery confirmation which usually has tracking. International packages are given a number, but tracking is 99% of the time not used by USPS and of course once it leaves the U.S. it cannot be used in the country it is going to. I think out of all the international packages I have shipped in 2011, only 1 was scanned as leaving the sorting facility and that was it.
For 2012, all international packages will be shipped with registered mail, meaning you or someone you know at your residence will have to sign for the package in order to receive it.
If your order is over $50.00 and you want First class mail (should your package qualify), I will require the purchase of insurance. Which is typically around $1.62-2.07.
If you live in a country with an unreliable delivery service, than we can ship via USPS Priority. Priority Mail packages arrive within 6-10 days depending upon their destination and can be more reliable.
I'm working on offering Priority Mail flat rate in the large video boxes, which is $13.25, thanks to the help of one of my LOVELY customers down under!
I know it's a pain, but it's for the protection of us both. I'd hate for you to be waiting for weeks and nothing to arrive only to find out it's been lost.
