A HUGE thank you to everyone that has been so kind and patient throughout this very busy time of year.
A lot has been going on behind Debaucherous Bath. As mentioned before, my computer crashed and all but labels for whipped soaps, bubbling scrubs and lotions were lost. I've spent countless hours trying to recreate them. The images I used were lost as well, so I spent way too much time trying to figure things out. You may notice that the labels for lip balms, perfumes and perfume petites are different. You may even see a few variations, I am trying to figure out what I like and do not like. Honestly, I hate it. This is the worst time of year to have to deal with this.
Also, another family member has been battling cancer, once again. This time breast cancer and it is my grandma, to whom I love so much and has always been my 2nd mom. She recently had surgery to remove the cancer and a lymph node, and will begin chemo next week. The dr is confident all has been removed and has joked she will live to be 100, to which she jokingly said she will hold to him, she is currently 81. I have shared this with just a few and I am thankful for the prayers and support offered.
Also, I am deeply indebted to Lori who has volunteered her time, no less, to helping me in any way she possibly can. At first it was with convos and emails, but she saw me working until the wee hours of the night, every night and offered to help me process the orders, I took her up on her offer and off we rode. We are now back at a 3-5 business day TAT.
At the same time, our customer service lagged majorly because of just concentrating on packaging and shipping the orders and we are so sorry for that. I am currently working through many emails and convos as we speak.
RE USPS: As always, I've been having issues with them and still do. I have packages showing as delivered right at our local po, to having them not being scanned until they are at the buyers sorting facility. I admit, my business skills are not 100% but I do try to be near that. I just cannot change shipping couriers, FedEx and UPS are just too expensive for the size orders that come in. Sample orders are usually under 3oz, how can one justify charging at least $6 for a couple samples shipping via FedEx or UPS? So I am still dealing with usps. They recently changed locations and I am hoping things get better. I have complained with the postmaster and have yet to hear anything. I have been told by the employees themselves to either take the packages to another station or that the post master is inadequate. What do you do when these are being told to you by the actual employees? It is beyond frustrating.
Which leads me to this, in a week or 2, after all orders are shipped and I make sure thay are delivered, I will be putting the shop on vacation mode as well as the website. I'm not sure how long I'll take off, but I'd like to take the time spending it with my family and visiting with my grandma on top of that. It is Christmas time and I have yet to even shop for gifts. Saying I am exhausted is an understatement. My little girls birthday is next month too and I'd like to concentrate on her special day. So most likely after her birthday, I will return.
I will be updating the shops inventory and many things will be coming down, mainly holiday scents and a few others that will be discontinued, such as Stanko. Some items move too slow and I need to narrow it down to keep things moving smoothly.
I will update later in the week whih scents I plan to discontinue.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
