Fall Items

Good afternoon!

I hope everyone has been having a fabulous week so far. I just wanted to update on what's going on here. :-)

Shipping is currently running around 7-10 business days but I anticipate it to be back to 3-4 business days by the weekend.

Many of the fall items are up, but I still have many more to list, such as perfumes, whipped soaps and bubbling scrubs. This will include the remainder of the summer items.  The summer items will remain in the etsy shop until either sold out or the end of September, whichever comes first.

Next month I will be adding sugar scrubs which are different from the bubbling scrubs as they are the emulsifying type that turn into a creamy texture once in contact with water. I don't usually offer them during the warmer months but in many regions it will be cooling down soon enough. I wish it would here!

As well next month, by the 15th, I will be adding cold process soaps that have been curing and waiting for their new homes in many holiday scents! Woohoo!

And finally, I will be updating the website over the holiday weekend, so no vacation getaway for me, too much work to do! I'm ok with it really, I can't stand coming home in traffic, lol.

That's about it. As always, I thank you for your business and for your patience!

Have a fabulous rest of the week and Labor day holiday!

Spider Silk, Little Red Riding Hood...

Spider Silk is back but has been reformulated due to supplier issues.

Sadly from time to time, suppliers either go out of business, change their formulas or even discontinue some of the notes I use. Since every scent I offer is hand blended by me, I am often left frantically searching for either a replacement or to try and swoop up what I can or even better, buy in bulk if offered. Once in awhile I even have to discontinue a scent if I cannot find any of the above options. Luckily for me, many of the notes I use are purchased in bulk directly from the manufacturers, but for Spider Silk and Little Red Riding Hood, that was not the case.

For Spider Silk, one of the notes I used seemed to morph and I was not pleased with that at all. So I set out all summer to find a replacement, while I did not find the exact note I needed, I did find a suitable replacement and have reformulated Spider Silk. It is noticeably different, but I am much more pleased with this newer version. The description remains the same though as the same types of notes were used. But there will be a notation in each listing stating Version 2 or V2. The label itself will note on the bottom, right hand corner, V2.

Little Red Riding Hood will be coming out as a newer version and is a whole new blend. I was not able to find any suitable replacement so I just decided to scrap the whole thing and come up with a new blend, in which I am quit pleased with and I think you will be too. This will be re-released by the end of August. I still have some of the older version and is available upon request until sold out.

Snow White, in the past you have read where my husband accidentally threw out my notes and on those notes were a few blends I had not yet converted into my book. Snow White was one of them sadly. I have been working on reformulating this one and will re-release this one in September. Luckily I remembered which notes were used in this blend and so I am now comparing the new blend to the old.

With that, I hope everyone has been having a fabulous weekend!

2014 Halloween/Fall Preview!

So it is back to school. All my kids are on these crazy schedules at 3 different schools! It's nuts, but in a way I am so glad they are going back. They were beginning to drive me a little nuts, hehe. But it is always a wonderful time for me to spend with my kids without so much of the daily grind.

So with that note, I am happy to announce that I am nearly caught up on all orders!  Woohoo! I am so excited. Working overtime this weekend to get them all caught up. This gives me time to list the rest of the summer items and begin to list the fall/halloween products which you may have already seen in the etsy shop. The website will be later this week.

The mens line will be debuting by the beginning of September. Sometime in October, as the weather begins to cool, Bathory will be making a return and will be available in more scents.

I have some exciting new Halloween scents making their debut later this month as well.

Here is a sneak peak:

The Pumpkin Head Girls~

The one time of year they can leave their house and no one would know. Trick or Treating with all the other kids, laughing, eating candy and enjoying all the frights in sight. Looking like they were wearing pumpkins over their heads, no one suspected, they were the Pumpkin Head Girls.

Crimson Pumpkins, Marshmallow Goo, crystallized Maple Sap, Rotting Leaves, Moss covered Logs.

Samhain~

The Gaelic festival marking the end of the harvest season and the beginning of what is considered the darker half of the year. For many Pagans it is considered a Sabbat to honor the ancestors, the darkest time of the year.

Damp Woods, Sprouting Mushrooms, Decaying Leaves of Rust & Gold, Autumnal Woods, Chilly Autumn Wind, Dark Patchouli and Mullein Leaves.

Haunted Mansion~

Creepy, dark and old was the house on Manor Lane. Kids dared each other to go up and knock on the door, but no one ever did. Until one day a boy name Johnny decided to take the dare, announcing he feared nothing. He rang the bell, the door crept open, he hesitantly walked in, but soon came running out screaming with a streak of white in his hair. Poor Johnny never spoke again, he sits in his room with fright in his eyes, staring at the walls, rocking himself back and forth, unable to forget what he saw.

Dead Honeysuckle Vines, Withered Violets, Rotting Blackberry Bushes, Crystallized Webs of Amber, a Decaying Beehive and parched 200 year old trees.

Bat Crazy~

There once was a girl named Katie, who thought very highly of herself. Growing up daddy always told her how beautiful she was and gave her anything she wanted. Always telling her she was his little princess. Full of arrogance she'd roam the town in her fake designer clothes, pulling favors for every guy she came in contact with thinking they loved her for her. She always felt she was above everyone else. Always demanding people do for her and never returning the loyalty. She only had one true friend and one day she insisted her one and only true friend was jealous and envious of her. So mad with her thoughts, she lost her mind and went Bat Crazy on anyone that came in her path. She now lives all alone, looking at herself in the mirror all day long with a face only a mother could love.

Sour Grapes, Bitter Haystacks, Black Patchouli. Sweet Sandalwood and Blood Red Cedar.

Ichabod Crane~

Wool Coat, Leather Boots, Amber Resin, Woodsmoke and Fir Needle.

Ghosts of Deathly Manor~

Dripping Wax Candles, Whispers of Golden Apples, Frankincense Tears and Ghostly White Oaks.

Halloween Pin Up~

Caramel Chews, Jack o' Lanterns, Chocolate Candy Bars of all assortments, Bath Wings and Crows Feet.

Sleepy Hollow~

Deathly White Pumpkins, Moss Covered Woods, Dark Vanilla, Rotted Cranberries and just a hint of Aged Leather.

Pumpkin King~

Glowing Pumpkins, Honey Butter, Autumnal Spices, Beeswax Candles and rotting Citrus.
